Mack, Director
Mr. Morrie Anderson
Director
New Brighton Parks and Recreation Dept.
1975 Silver Lake Road
>`dew B~^i ghton, Minnesota 55112
Dear Mr. Anderson:.
As per your request of May 8, 1989, I have calculated the estimated project
cost for a recreational bridge crossing of Rice Creek at Mississippi Street
and a paved trail segment from the proposed bridge southward to an
intersection with the internal parkway. Refer to attached map.
The following estimates, submitted for your review and consideration,
include the estimated costs of materials, labor, equipment and contingency
reserve necessary to complete the respective projects.
Project No. 1 - Clear span Cor-Ten steel recreational bridge
(10 ft. wide x 100 ft. long) - includes grading, shoreline
stabilization, piling, footings, bridge and installation.
Lump Sum Estimate $44,000.00*
*There are some unknowns at this point since a survey
and engineering has not been done relative to shoreline
stabilization and piling needs.
Project No. 2 - Bituminous trail segment (10 ft. wide x
1800 ft. long) with turf shoulders - includes stump
removal and disposal, grading, pavement and turf
establishment. Any additional trail alignment could
be constructed for $8.80 per linear foot.
Lump Sum Estimate $21,200.00
Sincerely,
Ken Simons
Landscape Architect
Attachments
a6 `" S
