§ 19-34 NEW BRIGHTON CODE § 19-37 <br />Sec. 19-34. Motorized vehicles on lake surface ice. <br />(a) Speed limit. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle in <br />excess of twenty-five (25) miles per hour.. <br />(b) Distance. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle in <br />excess of eight (8) miles per hour within one hundred fifty (150) <br />feet of any fisherman, fish house, pedestrian, skier, skater, skat- <br />ing rink, where such operation would endanger other persons or <br />property. <br />(c) Lights. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle at any <br />time unless headlights and taillights are illuminated. (Ord. No. <br />495A, § 1, 5-25-82) <br />Sec. 19-35. Closing of lake surface. <br />The director of parks and recreation, chief of police, or the city <br />manager may close the lake surface to all recreational use by <br />posting notice or the order upon determining the existence of <br />conditions which constitute a danger to persons or property. Pro- <br />vided that the lake shall not be closed for more than five (5) days <br />without the approval of both the council and the commissioner of <br />the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. In any case, <br />the council and the commissioner of the Minnesota Department <br />of Natural Resources should be notified as soon as practicable <br />during this five-day period. (Ord. No. 495A, § 1, 5-25-82) <br />Sec. 19-36. State laws adopted. <br />The provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 361, and the <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Boat and Water <br />Safety Rules are hereby adopted and incorporated herein by ref- <br />erence and made a part of this article. (Ord. No. 495A, § 1, <br />5-25-82) <br />Sec. 19-37. Enforcement. <br />Ofl"icers of the New Brighton Police Department and the Ramsey <br />County Sheriff's Department shall be authorized and entitled to <br />enforce the provisions of this article.
