NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />JUNE 7, 1989 <br />I. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chair Ken Johnson <br />II. Members present: Carlson, Eichers, Johnson, Kalina, Ocel and <br />Council Representative Gunderman <br />III. Minutes of May 3, 1989 <br />MOTION BY OLSON, SECONDED BY CARLSON, TO APPROVE THE MAY 3, 1989 <br />MINUTES AS PRESENTED. .MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. .Council Report <br />None <br />B. Long Lake Advisory Committee <br />None <br />C. Community Center Task Force. <br />Ken Johnson reviewed the Community Center Task Force's tour <br />of area community centers and reviewed the minutes of their <br />last meeting. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Recreation Programming Discussion <br />A resident and former employee of the Park and Recreation <br />Dept. was present to present a complaint to the Board <br />regarding a modeling class that was cancelled. A lengthy <br />discussion followed, no action taken. <br />B. 1990-94 C.I.P. and Five Year Financial Plan <br />Staff explained the proposed C.I.P. changes from what was <br />proposed at the-May meeting. MOTION BY CARLSON, SECONDED BY <br />OLSON, TO APPROVE THE C.I.P. AS PRESENTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />VI. Old Business <br />A. Long Lake Park Bridge and Trail Estimates <br />The Board was given estimates for trail construction at Long <br />Lake Park a No action required. <br />
