August 3, 1988 Park Board Minutes
2
Johnson said he did not like Miracle equipment aesthetically,
Gametime looked like it was more for pre-school age and appeared
to have too much plastic.
Van Hatten asked about the colors of the equipment.
Anderson said we would go with earthtones, rust and brown.
Ocel said she liked Mexico Forge and Gametime because of the
aluminum which won't rust.
Rose asked how much area there was to put this equipment.
Anderson said about 40 x 25.
Anderson said that Gametime was the company that offered the most
equipment. They offer 13 pieces of equipment compared to the
others who offer between 9 and 11 pieces. Gametime also offers
four accessories.
Olson and Seward said they would choose Gametime.
Van Hatten said the aluminum is probably better because it won't
rust.
Johnson asked if there was a Quality structure in the Twin Cities
to look at.
Anderson said no, but Pike Lake School has the Gametime
equipment.
Rose asked how big the Pike Lake one is to the one we are
considering for Veterans Park.
Anderson said Pike Lake's is about twice the size of the one we
would consider for Veterans Park.
Johnson asked if more can be added at a later date.
Anderson said we will be adding more but it will be a different
kind of equipment.
The Park Board stated their desires individually:
Olson said Gametime because of the appearance and it's aluminum.
Rose said Gametime because of the aluminum.
Ocel said Gametime because of the aluminum.
Seward said Gametime.
Van Hatten said Quality.
