i
Long Lake Planning Issues Page 2
The ordinance was. sent to the Department of'Natural Resources for -
their approval as required by law. There were several changes
made to conform to DNR requirements and ultimately the ordinance
was approved by the City Council in May, .19.82.
Using a mating list provided by the LLIA, copies of the ordinance
were mailed in June, ...1982. Few, if any, complaints .were. received
when the ordinanceraas distributed and few. complaints have been
received regarding its. enforcement.
Zf the LLIA follows through on its .demand.-for. changes in the
ordinance and the Council is :willing to consider changing the
ordiance, I would recommend the following .course of action. That
a study committee be formed, consisting of representatonfrom
LLIA,.LLAC, Park .Board and localfishermen and that ahis
committee be charged with developing recommended changes, that
assure equal access for all residents and conform to DNR regulations.
