• NEW BRIGHTON PARK BOARD MINUTES . <br />APRIL 6, 1983 <br />I. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Gunderman at 7:30 p.m. <br />•II. Members present: Carlson, Dahl, Grimshaw, Gunderman, Johnson, <br />Olson, Van Hatten, Council Rep. Blomquist <br />Members absent: Hogan, Solberg <br />IIT. Minutes of-the March 2, 1983 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />Van Hatten commented that the agenda-from now on should have a <br />report from him from the Walburn/Miller Committee. <br />Van Hatten reported there have been 4 or 5 meetings by the committee. <br />A decision was made to incorporate everything on one side of the <br />road. Property owners have been invited to come and see-how they <br />could incorporate into this industrial park. Mark Beisswenger'$ <br />decision'to stay or move will determine whether there will be an <br />access there. <br />Van Hatten s-aid the advantage of this industrial area to district <br />residents is a tax increment advantage. <br />Blomquist said it gives the city access to HRA. Also can do <br />things to facilitate development such as correct soil', streets, <br />etc. <br />. Van Hatten mentioned a problem that has not been resolved which. <br />is the chemical spill. The property owner feels it is a simple <br />matter to resolve but it has not been yet. At the old dump/landfill <br />a garbage burning or recycling station has been discussed. The <br />advantage is that it is close to the asphalt plant so steam from <br />burning could be used to heat asphalt. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report <br />Blomquist reported the following action or discussion by the <br />Council: <br />-Resolution approved regarding the use of funds from the <br />•~sa1e of park property. <br />-Golf course maintenance building approved. <br />-Warehouse office building planned on 35GA & Co. Rd. D <br />-PRD approved to Manor homes north of Minnesota Federal <br />and west of Silver Lake Road <br />-Briefing on legal situation of water problem <br />Gunderman asked if there was any resolution to the house on <br />Hansen Park. <br />. Anderson said Hedlund bought the .house, It would.be repaired. <br />It may be repaired .and sold again on that site. <br />Gunderman thanked Dave Van Hatten for the good play and well <br />planned party. <br />
