St ff is sc led t i eet next week with the new Director of Real <br /> Estate Development, Cynea Hable. on asked what the goal would be for that meeting. <br /> Fulton replied that we ld ree asi , - Immunity objectives in the redevelopment, <br /> namely that the area an im rtant c I ercial center. Black reported that staff was continuing to work with Medtronic on the outline <br /> of a basic finan 'a,,agreement. Fulton added that the City expects to be repaid first from <br /> increments gen ted from the new construction, which would also provide an incentive for the <br /> company to build later phases. In addition, we are insisting that the City not be required to come <br /> up with general funds to pay for our required fiscal disparities contribution, and that we be <br /> allowed to take sufficient administrative costs from later phases to avoid future restrictions in our <br /> redevelopment program. <br /> Larson added that City representatives testified several weeks ago at the legislature, along with <br /> Medtronic people.
