The draft Concept plan <br /> shows several change om the 02 p ixed-use center along both sides of Old <br /> Highway 8 is esta• .-•-d as a kelement defining the area. The area of the bowling alley <br /> and Keys resta .nt p. Ils i nged from housing to office. A significant stormwater feature <br /> is added on t e - side, n som e most difficult land to develop. Black indi ted that discussions would probably wait until the plan is farther <br /> advanced, but sugges*that the fact that the northern portion of Midwest Asphalt would be <br /> cleaned up m facilitate the discussions. Harmon asked what the next steps would be. Black <br /> indicated that ings would continue on a regular basis, and Geoff Martin of DSU would be <br /> invited to share a more refined plan at next month's meeting. Nelson asked whether the <br /> economics of this plan had been evaluated. Black indicated that financial analysis would wait <br /> until the development areas are further defined and construction potential can be evaluated. <br /> Delaune asked whether a new bridge over I-694 is part of the plan. Benke reported that MnDOT <br /> had delayed the Snelling/I-694 interchange reconstruction due to funding shortfalls; at this point <br /> the I-35W/I-694 interchange would be delayed until 2024 or beyond. The Old Highway 8 bridge <br /> would require replacement early in that project. Additional funding is being sought from the <br />
