Black replied <br /> that two districts were established, one for the east side and one for the west side. Nelson asked <br /> how long it will take for bonds to be paid off. Black answered that the districts are set up for 25 <br /> years and may require all of that time. <br /> Communications <br /> Black reported that the City is trying to finalize some dates and plans before a newsletter goes <br /> out. Harmon suggested that the newsletter could be a broader publication by promoting all of <br /> New Brighton and stating the City's vision for the community. Benke suggested that the City <br /> needs to make the community understand that this development will encompass the whole city <br /> not just one section. <br /> Business Council <br /> Black announced that the next Business Council meeting will be held on April 25 at 7:30 am. <br /> Harmon recommended that the new businesses in the area also be included. Nustad offered to <br /> assist in calling some of the businesses. <br /> Chamber of Commerce Report <br /> Nustad reported that the Chamber has been watching the I-35W and I-694 updates; although they <br /> are not on the schedule to be fixed for another 20 years, there is some talk in the legislature that <br /> it might come up sooner. At its next meeting the Chamber will be doing a"State of the Schools" <br /> report. <br /> Updates <br /> Fulton announced that Grant Wyffels would be starting on April 12 as the new Director of Public <br /> Works. Black added that Les Proper would remain with the City until April 28 and that there <br /> will be a community party for him on April 26. <br /> Harmon inquired if the Parks and Recreation Director has been filled. Fulton reported that the <br /> City will be taking applications through April 14. <br /> Adjournment <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:32 a.m. <br />
