There shall be not less than 25 feet of space between mobile homes in all two directions and 10 feet of space in two directions. Analysis The park was not developed under these standards; the Building Official and the Fire Marshal find the proposed text on proximity between homes to be acceptable. Removal of the "side," and "back" references from Chapter 16 will provide a clearer standard that is easier to apply. Sec. 16-49. Streets. Text Proposal Each unit shall abut on and have access to a street which shall be: (1) At least forty twenty-five feet wide between gutters,except that streets may be thirty feet wide if off street parking of a minimum of 1.5 car spaces per unit is provided. Analysis The park was never developed under these standards; existing streets are 25 feet from curb to curb. The City Engineer finds the existing pavement width to be acceptable. The Fire Marshal finds that the existing streets are of an acceptable width for emergency service response (fire trucks).
