Staff Report - Patrice Atkinson <br />Jason West introduced Patrice Atkinson, Recreation Supervisor for the FSC. She <br />will be discussing HMO's, fitness and wellness programs and memberships. <br />Patrice gave a power point presentation containing information on HMO's <br />fitness/personal training, new fitness classes added such as Kettlebells and Cardio <br />Blast. Group fitness classes are offered including: indoor triathlon, Tai Chi, <br />Stretch and Tone & Cardio Tone and Hoola Hooping. Welln~ss seminars are <br />offered to our members. We have had fitness and wellness faifswhich are free to <br />)"'::"'*18 >\J <br />the public where you can sample fitness classes. We are indeasiri~:'I~e number of <br />vendors each year. Youth Basketball Skills Camp was increased to two camps and <br />both filled, Adult basketball has increased 100%. It was regraded again <br />soo~~as' we get good weather, the nets will be put up. Several of the <br />ks, Redreation and Environmental Commission members recommended <br />that a sign by Silver Lake Road be put up to let people know the range is there. <br />. Family Fun for $5.00 is back by popular demand, along with other youth and <br />adult classes. A junior golftoumament will be held and after school golf. <br />. Werner Hegstrom and Edith Chesley continue to receive donations for the <br />fountain to be installed in the pond by the golf course entrance. <br /> <br /> <br />Council Liaison Burg complimented Ken on his young golf program for 5-9 yr. <br />olds (when no other courses offer this). Ken has won State, Regional and National <br />awards for this program. It is absolutely awesome. Our golf course is perfect for. <br />young kids and families. <br /> <br />Page 2 <br />
