Minutes New Brighton Planning Commission Regular Meeting - May 21, 1996 7:30 p.m. Call to Order Larry Baker, Chair, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Roll Call Present: Larry Baker, Roger Blomquist, Steve Jensen, Jim O’Brien, Mike Livingston, Paul Zisla Absent: Joann Knuth : Also Present Paul Buschmann, Planning Intern Jill Hanson, Economic Development Specialist Erny Mattila, City Planner Steve Larson, City Council Liaison Approval of Minutes M19,1996, Motion by Livingston, seconded by Jensen to APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE ARCH PC. 6 Ayes - 0 Nays. Motion Carried. LANNING OMMISSION MEETING Agenda Review Report on Council Action The Planning Commission adopted the agenda and moved the to the end of the meeting. Public Hearings PL-228 Brottlund/Schafer Mattila reviewed the case report concerning an application for a simple plat to subdivide two existing two- family lots into four two-family lots. Mattila showed slides of the site. Zisla asked if the applicant had talked with Mattila about the utility pole or switching facility in the middle of the proposed driveway. Mattila answered no. The pole would have to be relocated if a driveway goes through there. The applicant would have to work with the utility company involved. Mattila introduced Barry Brottlund, the son of Helen Brottlund, who will speak for her, and Del Ray Schaeffer, the applicants. Blomquist asked if the dwellings on the site now are rental or owner-occupied units. Brottlund responded Del Ray Schaeffer is the owner and occupies his double home there.
