Motion Carried.
OMMISSION MEETING

Report on Council Action
Teague reported the City Council approved the Charles Stark subdivision at their May 24 meeting.

Agenda Review
The agenda was adopted as written.

Public Hearings
Minor Subdivision Dave Schell
Teague reviewed the planning report concerning a request to divide an existing lot at 1390 Silver Lake Road
into three lots of record.

Zisla asked why the City was requiring the applicant to dedicate a portion for the road. Zisla stated he could
not understand why the County should not have to pay for the property. Teague stated that would be a
question for the City Attorney. Zisla said Schell was not doing anything that should enable the County to
have a claim on that corner. Teague said that, as part of the planning process, the City wishes to protect the
safety of the intersection. Zisla asked how the subdivision would make that intersection unsafe. Teague
responded this gives the City the ability to provide the safe turning lane on Silver Lake Road. Zisla stated he
does not agree with that view.

O’Brien asked if all three lots could use the one drive easement. Teague said the purchaser of Lot A wants his
own drive. Teague introduced Dave Schell, the applicant. Schell said the buyer of Lot A has requested a
private drive.

I:\COMMISSIONS\PLANNING\MINUTES\1999\06-15-99.WPD
