<br />Legal Notice <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO.. 87 <br />VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />CURFEW ORDiNANCE <br />An Ordinance regulating the presence <br />of minors under the age of 18 years au <br />the streets or in public places between <br />the hours of f 0 :00 P.M. and ~ :00 A.M. <br />the felUowing day, defining the duties of <br />parents and others in the care of Minors <br />and pl'Oviding for pettalties for violation. <br />thereof. '"l <br />SECTION 2 <br />It shaU be unlawful for the parent, <br />gnardian or other adult having the care <br />and custodv of a minOr under the age of <br />18 years of age to permit such minor to <br />loiter, idle or be in or upon the public:: <br />streets, highways, roods, alleys, parks, <br />playgr<iUnds, Or ,other Plliblie gr<>ttnds, <br />public places and buildings, places of <br />amusement, enterNlinment or refreshment, <br />vacant lots. or other unsupervised places <br />betwee.n nl<i hours of 10:00 P.M. and 5 :00 <br />A. The provisions of Section I and 2 <br />of this ordinance shall not apply to any <br />student under the a,ge of 18 years of 'Ig-e <br />or to hi s or her parent, guardian or other <br />adult pen;on having the ea,re and custody <br />of such minor who is l'awfully gO'iug to, <br />attending or feturn.ing from such school <br />function on any desiguated "8<::hool Nig. <br />ht" or "YdUth Nil\'ht." <br />SEcrION 5 <br />Any minor under the age of 18 years, <br />parent, guardian or other adult person <br />havilJ4!' the care and custody of a minor <br />under the age of 18 years, or any person, <br />firm dr corporati.on, who shan violate any <br />of the terms or provisioos of this ordi- <br />nance shall be guilt" of a mi sdemeanor <br />aud shall'!, upon conviction, be punished <br />by a fine Of not over $100.00 or bv im. <br />prisonment in the County Jail or Work. <br />house of not over 90 days. <br />SECTION 6 <br />Repeal. Orilinances 46, 66 and 85 pass- <br />ed by the Village of New Bril\'hton are <br />hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 7 <br />Validity. If any portiC!n of this Ordi. <br />nance i. held invalid, it shall' not effect <br />the validity of the remaining portions <br />theroof.
