The Commission asks that anyone who has comments on the <br />issue to speak into the microphone and state your name and address for the record. <br /> <br />Mattila reviewed the case report concerning an application for site plan review, PRD, and minor subdivision <br />to construct a 20-unit Alzheimer addition onto the Brightondale senior housing facility and replace a portion <br />of the Rice Creek Shopping Center with a 97-unit senior independent living facility. Mattila showed slides of <br />the site. <br /> <br />Roger Johnson, Johnson, Sheldon & Sorensen Architects, stated his firm was involved in the coop portion of <br />the project. Johnson described some of his firm’s current projects that are similar to the proposed facility. <br /> <br />Zisla asked about the price range for the proposed coop units. Johnson responded that, if G & P Properties <br />uses the uninsured loan approach, the share values for a 750 square foot unit would be $19,000 with a $600 <br />monthly charge. The share cost for largest of the units, which are 1,400 square feet, would be about $30,000 <br />with a monthly charge of $1,000.
