Announcements and Updates Jones Lake Concept Plan Teague distributed a draft of the concept plan. The concept plan entails the teardown of the apartment complex, the single family home to the south would be purchased and combined with the apartment complex. They propose a four-story apartment complex for the cleared site. They would target the complex for the fifty-five and older group, but not exclusively. Teague said, because there are no commercial facilities within walking distance, he had some concern about this being a complex for the elderly. The Commission discussed the parking requirements for an 80-unit building. Baker said he would have a problem with the parking if this is not a complex restricted to the elderly. Teague said he had not reviewed the density or setbacks. In answer to a question by Zisla, Teague answered the site was zoned for multi-family. The Commission briefly discussed the concept plan and asked for more detail on parking and density. Special Planning Commission Meeting - August 4 Baker announced there will be a special meeting on August 4 to consider the proposed mixed-use district for the Highway 8 Corridor. Larson said that was the date for the National Night Out and he cannot attend the meeting. Mattila’s Resignation Baker said Erny Mattila would be leaving the City at the end of December.
