<br />PLANNING COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Approved <br /> <br /> <br />February 17, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting January 20, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br />Commissioners Larry Baker, Jim O’Brien, Norm Schiferl, <br /> <br />Tom O’Keefe, Karen Mann, and Paul Zisla <br /> <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Jeff Schopf , Tom O’Keefe <br /> <br />Also Present: <br />Patrick Boylan, City Planner <br /> <br />? <br /> Council Action - <br /> Anne Hoffman, City Council Member, <br />introduced Mary Burg as the new Council liaison beginning <br />with the Feb. meeting. <br />Council Member Hoffman reported progress on the Beisswenger <br />project which is moving forward. <br />It was also reported the Council had approved the sedimentation <br />pond on Long Lake Road. <br /> <br />? <br /> Approval of Minutes - <br />December 16, 2003 <br /> <br /> <br />? <br /> Agenda Review: <br />No changes. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Special Use Permit and Site Plan Review – LP03-09 / SP03-13 <br />Truck Repair Facility Expansion – Mr. Michael Dooley <br />Consideration of an application for Site Plan Review and Special Use Permit for an <br />th <br />expansion of the existing structure located at 201 5 Ave. SW. A site plan review is <br />required to review the proposal to add 6,464 sq. ft. to the existing structure. The <br />applicant plans to store additional trucking equipment outside which requires a Special <br />Use Permit. <br /> <br />The City of New Brighton approved a site plan for New Brighton Lumber on October <br />26, 1993, which included a total of five buildings for the site. Since that time, the site <br />was developed with only four buildings. The proposal is substantially different from <br />what the Council approved in 1993, and therefore a site plan review is required. <br /> <br />Mr. Boylan presented the background information and Mr. Norm Wells, Architect on <br />behalf of Michael Dooley, presented information for the Commissioners. <br /> <br />There were several questions and answers between Commissioners and Mr. Wells. <br />There was no one in the audience to speak to the issue. <br /> <br /> <br />I:\COMMISSIONS\PLANNING\Minutes\2004\01_20_04.doc <br /> <br />
