<br /> <br />Approved <br />PLANNING COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting – January 17, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br />Commissioners Larry Baker, Bruce Howard, Jim O’Brien, Norm Schiferl, and <br />. <br /> Paul Zisla <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> Commissioners Karen Mann, Tom O’Keefe and Council Member Sharon Doffing. <br /> <br />Also Present: <br />Grant Fernelius, Community Development Director, and Janice Gundlath, City <br />Planner. <br /> <br />? <br />Agenda Review <br /> : No changes <br /> <br />? <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> : The approval of the December 20, 2005 minutes was tabled until <br />the February 21 meeting. <br /> <br />? <br />Council Action: <br /> There was no report. <br /> <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br />: SP 06-01 Special Use Permit to allow outdoor dining at Champp’s New <br />Brighton Restaurant <br /> <br />Consideration of a special use permit to allow outdoor dining at the 2397 Palmer Drive, <br />Champp’s Restaurant. On January 10, 2006 the City Council approved the applicant’s request for <br />a variance and site plan review to construct an outdoor patio. That same meeting, the City <br />Council approved an amendment to the B-3 General Business District to allow outdoor as a <br />permitted special use, in conjunction with an existing licensed food establishment.
