The Council approved the
reconstruction of Old Hwy 8 NW along the Northwest Quadrant and on Wednesday, March 28, a work session
will be held for updates on Long Lakes Landing.

Baker inquired if the Council has had any discussion regarding Commercial Park Dedication. Doffing replied
that staff has not brought that to the Council, so it was not discussed.

Public Hearings: PUD2007-001 (amendment to PUD2006-002) Planned Unit Development Amendment to
allow the addition of decks to the 55+ and New Urban Flat condominium buildings

The applicant is requesting to amend the previously approved Planned Unit Development for the housing
located on the west side of Old Highway 8 NW, known as Long Lake Landings. The request is to allow the
addition of decks to the 55+ and New Urban Flat condominiums.

The applicants previously gained PUD approval in August of 2006 and have since constructed sales trailers and
began marketing. As a result of their marketing prospective buyers have requested the addition of decks and the
developer would like to accommodate that request.

Howard inquired what the developers mean by “aluminum style” railings. Teresa Greenfield, Director of Land
Development for David Bernard Builders and Developers, replied that the railing will be built out of very
durable aluminum that looks like wrought iron. She added that they have had a number of buyers who have
expressed interest in having a deck so they can observe the lake. Howard asked how many units will have
decks added to them. Greenfield replied that all of the 113 units in the Senior 55+ building and the 32 units for
the Flat buildings will receive decks.

CPH.
Motion by Baker, second by Schiferl to
LOSE THE UBLIC EARING

MC.
5 ayes, 0 nays
OTION ARRIED

Motion by O’Brien, second by Schiferl to
WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT THE ATTACHED RESOLUTION
PUD2007-001.

RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF

MC
5 ayes, 0 nays .
OTION ARRIED

I:\COMMISSIONS\PLANNING\Minutes\2007\03-20-2007.docPage 1 of 2
