",,1 '..~ \:'"",,!,,,'<<' <br />f" -"' <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO .85 <br /> <br />A CURFEW ORDIN~9E <br />An ordinance regulating the presence of minors under the age <br />of 18 years on the streets or in public places betw.en certain hours <br />and defining the duties of parents and others in the care of minors, <br />providing for the arrest and penalties for violation thereof, and <br />repealing ordinance No. 46 and Ordinance No. 66. <br />T~e Village Council of the Village of New Brighton ordains <br />as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION I <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any minor \ind.r the age of 14 years, <br />or who is below the 9th trade in school, to be in or upon th.!~liC: <br />streets,' higAways, roads, alleys, paries, plaYlrounds or other public <br />grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement, <br />entertainment, or refrelnaent, vacant lots or other unsupervised <br />places between the hours of 9:00 P. M. and 6:00A. M. of the follow- <br />ing day on school nights, Sunday th~ough Thursday, and 10:00 P. M. <br />and 6:00 A. M. of the following day, on non-school nights or Friday <br />or Saturday, official village time; provided, however, that the <br />proviSions of this section shall not apply to any s~e, minor accom- <br />panied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care <br />and custody of the minor. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian or other adult <br />person having tbe care and custody of a minor under the age of <br />14 years or who is below the 9th grade in school to permit such <br />minor to be in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, <br />parks, playgrounds er other public grounds, public places and public <br />buildings, places of amusement, entertainment or refreshment, vacant <br />lots or other unsupervised places b*tween tbe bours of 9:00 P.
