<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />II~ <br />.BRIGl-fI(N <br /> <br />the city that works for you <br /> <br /> <br />Re ort Number: <br />A enda Section: <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE <br />INST ALLA TION OF NO PARKING SIGNS ON THE WEST SIDE OF BLACK OAK DRIVE. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD'S APPROVAL: ~w' <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: <br /> <br />No comments to supplement this report <br /> <br /> <br />Comments attached <br /> <br />Recommendation: To approve the attaclied resolution establishing THE INSTALLATION OF <br />NO PARKING SIGNS ON THE WEST SIDE OF BLACK OAK DRIVE BETWEEN THE I694 <br />SERVICE DRIVE AND LINDEN DRIVE. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: This Project will cost less than $500.00, and will be funded through the <br />City's general taxes. <br /> <br />Explanation: The City received a petition dated May 23, 2007 from the Innsbruck Park Town <br />Home neighborhood requesting no parking along the west side of Black Oak Drive between the <br />I -694 Service Drive and Linden Drive. The Benedictine Health Center expanded in 2004 and as <br />a result more traffic comes through the area. Currently, there is parking on both sides of the <br />street on Black Oak Drive. Consequently, when vehicles are parked on both sides, only one <br />direction of traffic can be accommodated at a single time. The proposed no parking zone is <br />shown on the attached map. The proposed no parking zone is indicated in yellow and the <br />existing no parking zones are indicated in red.
