i <br /> i~ <br /> <br /> <br /> Rr-..SOLUTiON No. 07- 066 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGI ITON <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RESCINDING PAST RESOLUTION 91-024 AUTORIZING THE INSTALLATION <br /> OF 2-HOUR PARKING SIGNS ON 4Tn AVENUE NW BETWEEN COUNTY ROAD E2 AND 6T" <br /> STREET NW; THEREBY REMOVING SAID 2-14OUR PARKING SIGNS. <br /> WHEREAS, On February 26, 1991, the New Brighton City Council passed resolution 91-024 <br /> which authorized the installation of "2-Hour Parking" signs on 4"' Avenue NW between County Road <br /> E2 and 6`h Street NW; and, <br /> WHEREAS, resolution 91-024 was passed because of parking overflow from surrounding <br /> businesses which posed both an inconvenience and safety hazard to residents and pedestrians in the <br /> neighborhood; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the surrounding businesses have since diminished or relocated making the need for <br /> the (16) "2-Hour Parking" signs non-existent. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of New Brighton <br /> hereby: <br /> 1. Rescind resolution 91-024 <br /> 2. Authorize the removal of the (16) "2-Hour Parking" signs on 41h Avenue NW between County <br /> Road E2 and 6`h Street NW, and on 6th Street NW between 5`h Avenue NW and 4`h Avenue <br /> NW. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 25th day of June, 2007. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Steve Larson, Mayor <br /> <br /> A.1..IEST:v tee, fem. <br /> Dean R.
