Ordway replied that the U.S. Postal Service has not <br />Fetside ed it requires a stand alone building, but will require a safety wall on <br />that is shared with the other tenant. <br />Council Member Doffing questioned how the developer will be handling the <br />speeding issue within the development. Ordway replied the first he had <br />heard of the issue was at the Planning Commission, but they will monitor it <br />and determine what needs to be done to solve the problem. <br />Motion by Councilmember Hoffman, seconded by Councilmember Burg to waive the <br />reading and adopt the attached resolution. <br />5 Ayes — 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />7. SP2007 -005, Timbercraft Enterprises, Inc., 715 Old Highway 8 <br />NW, consideration of a Special Use Permit in order to amend a <br />previously approved General Development Plan to allow <br />construction of a 2,778 s.f. 2nd story to be used exclusively for <br />storage purposes. Report No. 07 -103. Resolution 07 -057. <br />tty Planner, Janice Gundlach presented an overview of the application. <br />until Member Doffing added that at the Planning Commission she <br />a1rned the tenant will need to store their records on site for seven years; <br />this generated the need to increase the storage area. She added the use of <br />the storage area should not impact the parking, and the tenant will have <br />few clients visiting the site. She added staff has done a wonderful job <br />applying a covenant to control the site. <br />Motion by Councilmember Hoffman, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to waive <br />the reading and adopt the attached resolution. <br />5 Ayes --- 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />City Manager, Dean Lotter reported that there was a successful meeting with the PCA <br />recently and will update the Council at a Work Session in July. He added that he and Mayor <br />would be at the conference for the League of Minnesota Cities in Duluth. <br />)until Member Gina Bauman — Public Safe Commission <br />)until Member Bauman reported the Public Safety Commission meeting will be held on <br />ednesday, June 27th. <br />Council Member Mary Burr Parks, Recreation, and Environmental Commission <br />Council Member Burg reported that the New Brighton has been recognized as a Tree City. <br />The summer playground program is a huge success and fall registration will begin soon. She <br />complimented the Parks and Recreation Department on the receiving of the 2007 Award of <br />7.
