Page 6 — August 14, 2007 New Brighton Council Minutes ouncilmember Burg expressed her condolences to the victims and the families of the I35W ridge tragedy. The park shelter at Hansen Park has been reconstructed. The seven benches rom the pilot program "Active Living Ramsey County" are being installed. National Night parties were attended. Council Member Sharon Doffing - Planning Commission Councilmember Doffing also expressed sympathy and prayers to all those significantly affected by the tragedy on the I35W bridge. Councilmember Doffing reported that National Night Out was a success. Council Member Ann Hoffman - Economic Development Commission Councilmember Hoffman was out of town for the last Economic Development Commission meeting. Gratitude was expressed to all who assisted with the I35W bridge collapse, prayers and well wishes were expressed to those affected by the tragedy. Mayor Larson Mayor Larson attended the Economic Development Commission meeting August 7tn, discussing the relocation of the Post Office, the railroad wye, and the AUAR report. Mayor Larson congratulated the new Royal family, and acknowledged the departing Royal family. National Night Out parties totaled 135. Mayor Larson greeted the Antique cars at the finish line in Long Lake Park on Saturday. Appreciation was expressed to the volunteers for a uccessful Stockyard Days celebration. The City's extensive water rescue training was pparent at the I35W bridge collapse, the City also proved rescue assistance at Turtle Lake and ake Owasso earlier this summer. Mayor Larson announced he will be presenting the Poly - partners program in San Antonio, Texas.
