11rWBR011C-JHT0N <br />the city that works 16r you <br />Report Number: <br />Agenda Section: L11. iz <br />Report Date September 6, 2007 <br />Council Meeting Date September 11, 2007 <br />0 REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: CONSIDERATION OF PARTIAL PAYMENT 3 FOR PROJECT 07-3, <br />OLD HIGHWAY 8 NW RECONSTRUCTION <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD'S APPROVAL: <br />CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: ?]?.1 <br />No comments to suDDlement this report`s!' 1 Comments attached <br />Recommendation: To approve contract-Partial Payment 3 for Project 07-3, Old Highway 8 NW <br />Reconstruction in the amount of $311,977.74 to North Pine Aggregate, Inc. <br />Legislative History: The City Council awarded a contract to North Pine Aggregate on June 12, 2007. <br />On July 10, 2007, the City Council approved Change Order No. 1 which added three items to the <br />contract that deal with a MnDOT storm sewer permit for working in the 1694 right-of-way. <br />Financial Impact: Please see attached payment breakdown for details. <br />is Explanation: Project 07-3 consists of the reconstruction Old Highway 8 NW from 1694 to the Long <br />Lake Regional Park entrance. <br />The provisions of the contract with North Pine Aggregate, Inc. stipulate that the City makes a partial <br />payment to the contractor at lease once each month at regular intervals on the basis of the work <br />performed during that preceding month. This partial payment shall not exceed 95 percent of the value <br />of the certified estimate. <br />Costs and Funding: The construction portion of this project is being funded from a combination of <br />funding sources including a Mn/DOT grant, EPA grants, Municipal State Aid funds, Ramsey County <br />Cooperative Agreement funds, City Utility funds, and TIF Bond proceeds as outlined in the Feasibility <br />Report. <br />Grant M. yffe , E. <br />Director of Public Z-orks <br />Attachments <br />0
