August 16, 1979 <br />City of New Brighton <br />4. 20th Avenue NW between 17th Street NW & Rice Creek Road. <br />5. Continental Drive between County Road "D" & Rolls Road. <br />6. Imperial Lane <br />7. Mound Avenue NW between Silver Lake Road & Long Lake Road. <br />8. Redwood Lane between 5th Street NW & Forestdale Road. <br />The Director of Public Works explained that Improvement 77-4 <br />the project was construction of lh" bituminous 7:357 8:10 <br />street overlays on the streets listed above, <br />that the total project cost was $71,305.69 <br />and that of this amount $17,826.42 was proposed <br />to be special assessed on a front foot bases to <br />benefited property and the remainder picked up <br />by the City. <br />Mr. Ken Johnson, 1776 20th Avenue NW, <br />appeared. <br />He commended the staff for the information provided <br />with the public notice and stated he was very pleased <br />with the final cost of the project which was considerably <br />lower than the estimate. <br />Mr. Leo Sylvester, 1957 Rice Creek Road, questioned <br />how the frontage for his property was computed. The <br />Director of Public Works responded that the first <br />135 feet of his.property abutting the improvement <br />was exempted and the remainder was proposed to be <br />assessed. <br />Mr. Carl Vollbrecht, 1950 20th Avenue,was also present. <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to Close Hearing <br />close that portion of the hearing pertaining <br />to Improvement 77-4. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Motion by Janecek., seconded by Blomquist to RESOLUTION NO.2236 <br />find that each property assessed for Improvement <br />77-4 had its market value increased by at <br />least the amount of the assessment and <br />to waive the reading and adopt a resolution <br />entitled RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON THE <br />1977 BITUMINOUS STREET OVERLAYS, PROJECT NO. 77-4 <br />as proposed. <br />3 ayes - lobstention (Benke) - motion carried <br />Councilmember Benke stated for the record he <br />obstained because he was included in the <br />assessment of Improvement 77-4. <br />Improvement 77-5 <br />Location: <br />North Innsbruck Drive between Silver Improvement 77-5 <br />Lake.Road and the West Corporate 8:11 7 8:16 <br />Limits. <br />-2- <br />
