COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton <br />City Council was held Tuesday, October 24, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />municipal building, 803 5th Avenue N.W., New Brighton Minnesota. <br />Present: Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Fritz Werdouschegg <br />Absent: None <br />Also Vernon C. Pederson, City Manager/Clerk; Les Proper, <br />Present: Director of Public Works; James Fti-'Winkels, Director of <br />Community Development; Donald L. Lais, City Attorney <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist <br />.co amend the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />October 10 by adding the name of Donald L. Lais, City <br />Attorney,as also present. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Janecek to <br />approve the minutes of the special meeting <br />of October 11 and the joint meeting of the <br />council and Planning Commission October 12, 1978 <br />as presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist <br />to remove item number 1, License Application for <br />David Lipp from the consent agenda to be considered <br />as the last item on the agenda and to approve <br />the following. <br />Set date of public hearings for November 14 - <br />SP-83, Larson/Allen 7:35 <br />VN-197, R.C.E. Corp 7:40 <br />Consolidated fund vouchers 28,616 thru 28,734 <br />Liquor fund vouchers 10,387 thru 20,435 <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Public Hearings <br />The Director of Community Development reviewed the <br />staff report regarding the walkway easement <br />vacation. <br />Joe Jansen, applicant, was present'to answer <br />questions. <br />The following spoke in favor of the walkway easement <br />vacation: <br />Donald McNeill, 311 2nd Ave S.E. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cooper, 3683rd Ave S.E. <br />Mrs. R.E. Andre, 266 3rd Ave S.E. <br />Mr. Norgard, McGillis & Gibbs <br />Walkway Easement <br />Rpt 78-242 <br />7:40 to 8:08
