l <br />Council Proceedings <br />City of New Brighton <br />January 23, 1979 <br />Paul Schweppe, 1227 12th Avenue NW, applicant, <br />was present. <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist <br />to waive reading the resolution and adopt <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBDIVISION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON (generally east of <br />12th Ave. NW, west of Long Lake and north of I-694) <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Motion.by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist <br />to waive reading the ordinance and to hold <br />second reading, adoption and publication of AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21-59 AND SECTION 21-69 <br />OF THE NEW BRIGHTON CITY CODE. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to waive <br />reading the ordinance and to hold first reading <br />of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION <br />2-65 BY RE-ESTABLISHING THAT THE HUMAN RIGHTS <br />COWIISSION SHALL CONSIST OF NINE MEMBERS <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />The council took no action <br />regarding the 10th Street NW Upgrading. <br />No action required. <br />3 <br />Rpt 311 <br />Minor Subd. <br />Schweppe <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2158 <br />ORDINANCE <br />NO. 443. <br />lst reading <br />ordinance <br />Human Rights <br />Rpt 307 <br />10th Street <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek that <br />Council initiate rezoning in accordance with <br />alternate No. 2 "Initiate rezoning of Hobar <br />property and, in addition, initiate the rezoning of <br />property to the north, all the way to the railroad tracks. <br />This action would be consistent with the Comprehensive Lane <br />Plan, would create no new non-conforming uses and would not <br />leave a small spot zoning of commercial property." <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded Blomquist to <br />amend the motion to include that Hobar Publications <br />pay the fees for the initiation process to be consistent <br />with previous actions taken when applicants request <br />the council to initiate rezoning and whatever is the <br />responsibility of the applicant. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Vote on main motion as amended <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Werdouschegg to waive <br />reading the resolution and to adopt RESOLUTION ACCEPTING <br />FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR 1979 IMPROVEMENTS AND CALLING FOR <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON FEASIBILE IMPROVEMENTS 79-2,3,4,7,8 <br />and 9 for February 13. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Rpt 308 <br />Hobar <br />Use <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2159
