The'-citizens and businesses of New Brighton will support a plan <br />for the downtown area that is economically sound and utilizes <br />all of the present businesses. The plan has to be based on the <br />_i following: <br />T..-Restore (clean up) downtown New Brighton. <br />2. The Plan is the result of input by the busness community, <br />citizens of New Brighton and not outside interests who do <br />not understand what New Brighton is all about. <br />3. City Council must allow and provide adequate access to the <br />downtown area, so that the citizens of New Brighton can <br />_support the plan for the downtown area. <br />4. City Council will review and change our local ordinances <br />so that New Brighton can compete with surrounding areas <br />and bring new business into the area. <br />5. Each business has the opportunity to submit their own plans <br />to comply with the overall plan. <br />6. Each business has the opportunity to establish their own <br />costs. <br />7. Assist business to find needed financial help if needed. <br />8. Use prorate monies instead of taxpayers money, wherever <br />possible. <br />9. Thru a joint effort, encourage business into the downtown <br />core area that will draw additional customers into the area. <br />10. The City of New Brighton enforce all of the exi.sting ordi- <br />nances and change ordinances, if necessary, to clean up the <br />surrounding areas. <br />
