r <br />February 22, 1977 <br />RECEIVED <br />FFB 1977 <br />Mr. Thomas Lewcock, Manager <br />City of New Brighton CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />803 Fifth Avenue Northwest <br />New Brighton, Minnesota 55112 <br />Re: Rush Lake Project Expansion <br />Dear Mr. Lewcock: <br />On June 26, 1976, the New Brighton City Council requested that the Board <br />of Ramsey County Commissioners consider the acquisition of additional lands <br />as part of the Rush Lake project site (see attached New Brighton resolution <br />#1279) . <br />The Board of Ramsey County Commissioners on September 7, 1976, approved <br />the expansion of the Rush Lake Project (see attached resolution #76-1064). <br />The Board also authorized a boundary line survey to identify by legal descrip- <br />tion the proposed area to be acquired through fee title and easement. The <br />survey has been completed and the parcels have been monumented in the field <br />(see enclosed legal description). <br />As directed by the City Council's initial resolution, the Open Space <br />Planning Office is requesting that a presentation be scheduled at which the <br />Council can consider the County's specific request for acquisition approval <br />as required by Chapter 950, 1971 Laws of Minnesota. <br />Sincerely, <br />Kenneth C.
