FSC Membership Descriptions • Youth Memberships Individuals age 1-17 years. For patron protection, individuals age 12-17 must complete a Youth Fitness Orientation to gain approved access to cardiovascular equipment and selected weight machines in the fitness center. Youth may use the fitness center only under the terms explained in the orientation with a Personal Trainer. Youth will be able to use weight machines and cardiovascular equipment but they may not use free weights, dumbbells, multi station cable crossover (dual adjustable pulley system), leg press, or smith machine (squat, bench press-weight bar on two guided rails). Once a youth member has completed the fitness orientation his/her membership will reflect the date of completion. Our front desk staff verifies the ability to access each visit. Youth 11 and under are not allowed in fitness center areas with or without an adult. If the gymnasium is available it's a great place to walk, run or play together. Adult Memberships Individuals age 18-61 years. Those 18 and under are considered a dependant if they are living in the same household or a full time student where parents claim them as a dependant up to age 24. Anyone age 18 and older must pay the adult fee separately from the family, unless they are the second adult on the family membership. Senior Memberships Individuals age 62 and older. Family Memberships Only two adults and all of their dependants living in the same household that can claim the address as a permanent address shall be listed on a family membership. Memberships or additions to memberships will not be processed until proof is obtained. Three Month Memberships Three month memberships stark from the day they are purchased and expire in 90 days. The option of a nine month extension only applies to those that have an active three month membership. Purchasing a nine month extension does not qualify as an annual membership purchase and does not apply to certain annual membership benefits. Annual Memberships Annual memberships start from the day they are purchased and expire in 12 months. Student Memberships Without age limitations this membership is available to all individuals attending full time community colleges and/or universities. Student members pay the resident rate for individual memberships, and do not qualify for insurance benefits. • At registration, proof of student status requires a current school identification card or fee statement/transcript. • For summer memberships a student's identification from the previous spring quarter/semester is acceptable. • For winter and spring break, a 30 day pass is available to purchase and will expire 30 days later unless under promotion. Health Wave Annual Membership This privileged membership affords you access to the FSC Fitness Center, a 160 yard walking/running track, gymnasium, Eagles Nest - metro areas coolest indoor playground and the Highview and St. Anthony Pools. Resident Rate Any person who resides within the New Brighton city limits or any person who works full-time or part-time within the New Brighton city limits has the privilege of the resident rate at the New Brighton Family Service Center. Proof of residency requires a valid driver's license, picture 0, or a recent utility bill showing the name and address of residence or place of employment. 4
