Alww <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Pursuant to due call and published notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the New Brighton City Council was held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, <br />Feb. 8, 1977, in the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 803 5th <br />Avenue N.W., New Brighton, Minnesota <br />Present: Mayor Gayle C. Bromander, Councilmen Gene Fisher, <br />Jim Senden, Fritz Werdouschegg <br />Absent: Councilman Hardt <br />Also Thomas F. Lewcock, City Manager; Donald L.Lais, City <br />Present: Attorney; Vernon C. Pederson, City Clerk; James J. Kleinschmidt <br />Director of Public Works; James F. Winkels; City Planner. <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Senden to approve <br />minutes of special meeting, Jan. 19 and regular <br />meeting, Jan. 25, 1977 <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes- carried <br />Unfinished Business <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Senden to receive <br />administrative report re: new & used car license <br />renewal, Cross Texaco, dated Feb.3, 1977 <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />The City Planner reviewed the administrative report <br />Councilman Hardt appeared, 8:10 <br />Councilman Senden asked why the area next to the <br />pump islands was not considered as parking space. <br />The Planner indicated that they have not been included <br />in the past because they are considered part of the <br />driving lanes. <br />Dale Cross, applicant, stated that the circumstances <br />affecting his property had changed considerably since <br />he first went into business. He noted that with the <br />widening of Old Highway 8 there was now snow storage <br />problems on the site. He noted that in a business of <br />this nature, it. was hard to not allow someone to park <br />when requesting service although he admitted parking <br />was a problem. He noted he considered removing the <br />ice shed which would free up parking space. He stated he <br />did not want to park cars on the street for sale and he <br />preferred to not have a deadline on moving of the ice shed. <br />He stated that all repair work was done inside. <br />Minutes <br />New & Used <br />Car License <br />Cross Texaco <br />
