2712 Rice Creek Terrace
New Brighton, Minn.
November 9, 1976
Mayor Bromander
Councilman Fisher
Councilman Hardt
Councilman Senden
Councilman Werdouschegg
Dear Sirs:
RSCEIV-5D
NOV 1 o 1976
CITY Of NEW BRIGHTON
At the city council meeting held on February 10, 1976,
we and many of our neighbors spoke in opposition to the liquor
license request of Jack Welsch for the Stockman's Restaurant,
proposed to be located at Mississippi St. and 26th Avenue NW.
At the same time we submitted a petition with numerous
signatures, in which concern was expressed about thesafety hazards
that might be created by the location of a bar in the Silver
Lake Road intersection area.
It has come to our attention that Mr. Welsch has again
applied for a liquor license for that location. We wish to
emphasize to the council that we and our neighbors remain stead—
fastly opposed to the idea of a liquor establishment at Mississippi
St. and 26th Avenue NW.
It is our hope that the council will adhere to its earlier
decision that a restaurant serving liquor would not be in keeping
with the residential use of the neighborhood and that such a use
would not conform to the new comprehensive plan being developed
for the city.
Sincerely,
Ellen Citron
Paul Citrons ?'
