Council Proceedings <br />City of New Brighton <br />Oct. 26, 1976 <br />k 2 <br />The Council discussed areas to be designated for Snowmobile' <br />snowmobile operation. Operation <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Werdouschegg to waive Designation <br />reading and adopt resolution entitled RESOLUTION <br />DESIGNATING LONG LAKE, PIKE LAKE AND JONES LAKE RESOLUTION <br />FOR SNOWMOBILE OPERATION No. 1791 <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />After adoption of the resolution, the Council stated <br />that they would be willing to consider other designated <br />areas in the future if further information is <br />provided to them. <br />Councilman Senden explained the reasons why he had <br />placed the item of an ordinance regarding Applicant <br />establishing a policy of applicant withdrawal on Withdrawal <br />the agenda. He stated he believed such an ordinance Policy <br />would clarify the procedure to be followed by the <br />Council and administration and would.provide guidance to <br />applicants who decided to withdraw their requests. <br />Motion by Bromander, seconded by Werdouschegg to direct <br />administration to prepare a report regarding the various Administration <br />elements that should be considered in an ordinance Prepare report <br />regarding application withdrawals and further directing <br />that at least the following three elements be contained <br />in the report: <br />1. That requests for withdrawal must be in writing; <br />2. That such request must be received by the Council; <br />3. That reimbursement of fees can but do not have to <br />be considered by the Council. <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />Public Hearing <br />:'attorney stated hearing was properly called. Street <br />The Building and Planning Coordinator reviewed the Vacation - <br />Planning Commission report and recommendations. Stinson Blvd <br />Tad Gates, one of the petitioners, was present to <br />respond to Council questions. 8:53 to 9:03 <br />Councilman Werdouschegg asked what advantages there <br />would be to the petitioner in the vacation. <br />21r. Gates stated that it would enlarge the sideyards <br />of the properties involved. <br />Councilman Fisher questioned how curbing would be taken care of. <br />The City Manager noted that the administration would Im ve <br />to investigate the feasibility of extending the bituminous <br />curbing to delineate the new driveway. <br />Councilman Werdouschegg asked what the width of the new <br />driveway would be. <br />Gates stated that the exact size was not known at this <br />time; however, it would be of standard width. <br />
