(Jan. 11) <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Councilman Fisher stated he placed the item of <br />street improvement program on the agenda because of <br />recent court action taken relative to assessments and <br />because of the possibility that certain roads in need <br />of overlay may have strong resident opposition based <br />on the current assessment formula. He stated the <br />council may wish to consider changing its assessment <br />f--)rmula prior to the first overlay project assessment <br />in the summer of 1977. He stated research of the <br />topic may also be of aid to the Housing Authority as it <br />studies downtown redevelopment. He stated his intent <br />- .s Lc look at different assessment formulas for roads <br />-'-hat had already been assessed and those that would be <br />improved for the first time. <br />Notion by Fisher, seconded by Hardt to direct <br />administration to study and report on the various <br />alternatives regarding a street improvement program. <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />,L 5 <br />Defer to <br />Jan 11 <br />Discussion - <br />Street Impr. <br />Program <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Hardt to receive <br />memorandum from -.Councilman Fisher re: zoning <br />Variances and Council Resolution No. 1771. <br />5 ayes 0 nayes - carried <br />Councilman Fisher reviewed the memo and at the <br />conclusion of his review he noted to the Council that he <br />was not asking for specific action at this time but wished <br />to clarify resolution 1771. He noted that he intended <br />.L.> submit additional reports and resolutions regarding <br />-:cher aspects of zoning variances. <br />(.:o.-ncilman Fisher stated he placed the item of educational <br />I.. ograms for the Planning Commission on the agenda to <br />IjIform the Council of additional planning programs <br />available and being conducted at low cost by the State <br />Planning Agency. <br />Th.r Building and Planning Coordinator reviewed several of <br />the options that were available to the City in utilizing <br />these educational services. <br />Adm Study & <br />Report <br />Discussion <br />Re: zoning <br />variances <br />Educational <br />Programs <br />for <br />P.C. <br />
