<br />,.". ;., ' , ' .",' i....; ,". ~,~, \ 0.:.1 <br /> <br />I: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />t, <br /> <br />...- <br /> <br />-= <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. d.....f- <br /> <br />An Ordinance prohibiting any person under the age of twenty- <br /> <br />one years from having any non-intoxicating malt liquor or intoxicating <br /> <br />liquor, as the same are herein defined, in his possession for the pur- <br /> <br />pose of consum.ption by him or any other minor. and providing penalties <br /> <br />for the violation thereof. <br /> <br />The Village Council of the Village of New Brighton, Ramsey <br /> <br />County, Minnesota does hereby ordain as follows: <br /> <br />SEC TION 1 <br /> <br />From and after the passage of this ordinance. it shall be unlaw- <br /> <br />ful for any person under the age of 21 years to have non-intoxicating <br /> <br />malt liquor or intoxicating liquor as the same are herein defined, in his <br /> <br />possession for the purpose of consumption by him or any other minor. <br /> <br />Po asession by a minor of any non-intoxicating InaIt liquor or intoxicating <br /> <br />Hquor shall he prima facie evidence of intention to consume the same, <br /> <br />SEC TION 2 <br /> <br />The words "non-intoxkatingmalt liquor" and the words "intox- <br /> <br />icating liquor" are hereby defined to mean and include any distilled, <br /> <br />fe rmented. spiritous, vinous or tnalt liquid of any kind, potable as a <br /> <br />beverage, which contains an alcoholic content in excess of one-half of <br /> <br />one per cent by volume. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />Any person violating the provis4m.s of this ordinance ahall be <br /> <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine not exceeding $100.00 <br /> <br />or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed 90 days. <br /> <br />SEC TION 4 <br /> <br />This ordinance is hereby declared to he an emergency ordinance <br /> <br />rendered necessary for the prese vation of the public peace, health and <br /> <br />safety, <br />
