<br />... <br /> <br />'.! <br /> <br />'~.~'- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 05-002 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />SOLUTION TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT MISCELLANEOUS DONATIONS RECEIVED IN 2004 <br /> <br /> <br />REAS, the City of New Brighton invites and accepts donations to assist in programs and initiatives; <br />and <br /> <br />REAS, one method by which citizens can make donations to the City is the "Change for the Better" <br />program; and <br /> <br />REAS, participants in the "Change for the Better" program authorize the City to round the amount of <br />their quarterly utility bill up to the nearest dollar or ten dollars, or add a fIxed amount to their bill; and <br /> <br />REAS, monies contributed through the "Change for the Better" program are dedicated for the <br />beautification of the City and park improvements; and <br /> <br />REAS, Ace Solid Waste donates $5.00 for each new customer in the City to be used for park <br />improvements; and <br /> <br />REAS, it is the City Council's desire to acknowledge and express appreciation to all participants for <br />their donations; <br /> <br />N W THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of New Brighton to hereby <br />approve the resolution acknowledging and accepting miscellaneous donations totaling $1,350 received <br />in 2004 as follows: <br /> <br />1. $570 from the participants in the "Change for the Better" program dedicated to City <br />beautification and park improvements; and <br /> <br />2. $680 from Ace Solid Waste dedicated to park improvements. <br /> <br />opted this 11th day of January, 2005. <br /> <br />~,(11bOl\ <br />Steve Larson, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />ll--/ <br /> <br />A T)~ST: :_ /~' ..
