<br /> <br />; ! <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. -04-020 <br />STA TE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />; ! <br />~SOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND ApPROVING an amendment to the City's <br />" Comprehensive Plan Map. <br /> <br />WlHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: <br /> <br />" \ <br />: i <br />: i 1. Mr. David Black, on behalf of the City of New Brighton applied for an amendment to the City <br />of New Brighton's Comprehensive Plan Puture Land Use Map on January 16,2004 for the <br />following properties: <br />a) 1853 Old Highway 8 NW; <br /> <br />b) 1873 Old Highway 8 NW; and <br /> <br />c) Parcel "B" of 1951 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Public Notice was published in the New Brighton Bulletin February 3, 2004. <br />Notification of the Public Hearing was sent to the surrounding properties within 350 feet. <br />The Planning Commission held a public hearing on February 17, 2004 and recommended <br />approval to the City Council. <br />I: 5. The City Council reviewed the proposal and approved the amendment on February 24th, 2004. <br /> <br />, 2. <br /> <br />, ' <br />!' 3. <br />4. <br /> <br />" <br />~ 1 <br /> <br />I', <br /> <br />Now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council makes the following Findings of Pact: <br /> <br />; <br /> 1. <br /> 2. <br /> 3. <br /> 4. <br />; <br /> 5. <br /> 6. <br /> <br />The subject properties are part of a redevelopment project for a future hardware store. <br /> <br />Prior to the application, the properties had a future land use designation of LI, Light Industrial. <br /> <br />A public hearing was held to consider changing the future use designation from LI, Light <br />Industrial to MX, Mixed Use. <br /> <br />On February 24th, 2004, the Council reviewed the proposal and approved the amendment <br />of all three parcels. <br /> <br />The properties 1853 Old Highway 8 NW, 1873 Old Highway 8 NW, and Parcel B of 1951 <br />Old Highway 8 NW all have a future land use designation of MX, Mixed Use. <br /> <br />The future land use designation ofMX, Mixed Use is consistent with past practice by the <br />City. <br /> <br />i <br />BE IT FuRTHER RESOLVED, the parcels at 1853 Old Highway 8 NW, 1873 Old Highway 8 NW; and <br />, Parcel B of 1951 Old Highway 8 on the Comprehensive Plan Map are hereby amended with <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />1.
