Approval of an ordinance amending the City's various codes relating to the <br />annual fee schedule. Report No. 07 -284. <br />Ordinance No. 751. <br />Councilmember Doffing expressed her appreciation to Director of Public Works, Grant Wyffels, <br />for the reduction in a change order. Additionally Councilmember Doffing reported that at the <br />prior worksession, interim financial statements were discussed, and a possibility of further tax levy <br />reduction may be possible. <br />Motion by Councilmember Doffing, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to approve the <br />consent agenda as presented <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Public Hearin <br />None <br />Council Business <br />1. Consideration of a Letter of Understanding by and Between the City of New <br />Brighton and Bell Lumber and Pole Company for Odor Mitigation. Report No <br />07 -285. <br />Director of Community Development Grant Fernelius reported that in the summer of 2006 <br />complaints were reported related to the strong odor originating from the lumberyard The source <br />of the odor was identified in April 2007 City Council approved an agreement allowing for <br />additional testing of a replacement process. Testing was completed in summer of 2007, revealing <br />detectable level of odor significantly reduced The agreement was made that measurable odor unit <br />not exceed 1.2 odor units at the property line. Both councilmembers Bauman and Doffing <br />expressed appreciation for amicable outcome <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Doffing to approve the <br />attached memorandum of understanding with Bell Lumber and Pole Company regarding odor <br />testing and mitigation efforts at 7781` Street SW. <br />6.
