Division 3 - Public Policy Commission <br />Sec. 2-90. Established. <br />A Public Policy Commission shall be established for the City. (Ord. No. 610, 12-13-94; Code of 2001) <br />Sec. 2-91. Purpose. <br />The purpose of this Commission shall be to advise the City Council on public policy issues of a general <br />nature and on items which are outside of the purview of other commissions. (Ord. No. 610, 12-13-94; <br />Code of 2001) <br />Sec. 2-92. Duties and Responsibilities. <br />The duties and responsibilities of this Commission shall be to: <br />(1) Research issues and perform special projects assigned by the City Council by employing strong <br />policy analysis practices and report the findings, conclusions, and recommendations in writing and in <br />presentations at Council meetings. The City Manager and City Council will identify a specific plan of <br />study for the Commission to follow when referring and assigning issues. <br />(2) Identify policies that need to be revised and propose a plan of study to the City Manager and City <br />Council for their review and approval. The Commission shall undertake approved assignments in <br />accordance with Section 2-92(1). <br />(3) Make recommendations to the City Council regarding the annual town hall meeting. The purpose of <br />the town hall meeting is to inform and engage citizens about issues and operations. <br />(4) Perform other duties as directed by the City Council. (Ord.
