Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Frischman at 6:35 pm. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Present: Commissioners: Budzynski; Frischman; Harreld; Meyer; Norton; Samuelson; <br />Trevorrow; Council Liaison Mary Burg; Acting Director of Parks and Recreation Jason West; <br />Office Assistant Jodelle Olson. <br />Absent: Commissioner Heinrich <br />Also present: Recreation Program Manager Pat Tuma and Facility Use Coordinator Jeanne <br />Balfanz <br />III. Minutes of November 7, 2007 <br />MOTION BY SCOTT BUDZYNSKI, SECONDED BY TOM TREVORROW, TO APPROVE <br />THE NOVEMBER 7, 2007 MINUTES AS SUMBITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br />IV. Correspondence <br />A. Council Report — Council Member Burg <br />Council is still working on criteria to make educated decisions on Commission <br />appointments. The plan is to get it submitted to Council at the last Council <br />meeting in February. Commission decisions have been delayed until March; <br />atypically we do them early in the year. As Council members, we find it difficult <br />because there may be a new Council person and it has been difficult to make these <br />choices. <br />The Council has not yet made any decision on the Northwest Quadrant Park <br />Concept Plans. The Council tabled the plans. The Council did agree that the plans <br />were all phenomenal. Everyone was excited about them but at this point in time <br />we are busy working on the west side of the Northwest Quadrant. Right now it is <br />inappropriate to move forward until we are a little further along in the process. <br />The Council liked the ideas and especially that you could pick and choose what <br />you were interested in, depending on the financial aspect. They are really excellent <br />V. Public Hearing <br />A. None scheduled <br />VI. New Business <br />A. 2007 Chair — elections <br />Jason West read through Sec. 2-63 of the Municipal Code which relates to the <br />Chairperson of a Commission <br />MOTION BY LISA HARRELD, SECONDED BY SCOTT BUDZYNSKI, TO <br />• RE-ELECT JEANNE FRISCHMAN AS CHAIR. MOTION CARRIED. <br />B. Staff Report — Pat Tuma <br />Recreation Program Manager Pat Tuma went through her presentation with <br />the Commission. Points that she touched on were as follows: <br />
