ORDINANCE NO. <br />757 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS IN THE <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />That City Code Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of New Brighton, <br />Minnesota is amended to read as follows: <br />City Code Chapter 2 <br />Article 4. Commissions <br />Division 1 - General Conditions <br />.2-56. General. <br />: purpose of this Article is to establish various advisory commissions. The commissions are <br />nded to utilize members of the community in an advisory capacity to assist the City Council <br />staff with achieving goals and objectives for the City and to ensure that the ideas of citizens <br />well represented in the policy making process. The general operating principles in this <br />ision shall apply to all commissions. (Ord. No. 610, 12-13-94; Code of 200 1) <br />.2-57. Name. <br />boards, committees, and commissions will be named "commissions". (Ord. No. 610,12 -13 - <br />Code of 2001) <br />.2-58. Commission Size. <br />commissions will have a maximum of nine members appointed by the City Council. <br />2-59. Appointment. <br />members will be appointed by the City Council. (Ord. No. 610, 12-13-94; Code of <br />2-60. Removal from a Commission. <br />member of a commission may be removed from office by a majority vote of the City <br />icil. (Ord. No. 610,12-13-94; Code of 2001) <br />2-61. Compensation. <br />members shall serve without compensation. (Ord. No. 610, 12-13-94; Code of 200 1) <br />
