G. A single, small sign per street frontage on each lot displayed for garage sales, rummage sales, <br />sale of produce grown on the premises, real estate sales, Parade of Homes production, or church <br />or school events. <br />1. Signs are permitted on private property only, may be placed only upon approval of the <br />property owner, may not exceed six square feet in area and may not exceed four feet in <br />height. <br />2. In addition, signs advertising garage sales, rummage sales, Parade of Homes <br />promotions, or church events may be displayed for no more than one week prior to the <br />event and must be removed within one day after the sale or event. <br />3. Real estate sale signs erected off the premises offered for sale may be displayed for no <br />more than three days in any seven day period. <br />4. No sign provided for in this subsection may be located closer than seven feet to the <br />paved portion of a street. <br />H. A single campaign sign per candidate and issue on each frontage is permitted from the last day <br />of candidacy filing, or one month before the election, whichever is later. <br />1. Signs shall not exceed six square feet in area and shall be not more than four feet in <br />height. <br />2. Signs are permitted on private property only and may be placed only upon approval of <br />the property owner. <br />3. No such sign may be located closer than seven feet to the paved portion of a street. <br />4. Where the sign is situated not closer than 150 feet from the property line of an <br />occupied residence, the area of the sign may increase to 32 square feet and the height to <br />six feet. However, such sign must be set back from the property line a distance equal to <br />1/3 the distance of the district front yard setback requirement. <br />5. Any sign permitted by Section 9-040 (3)H may be used, in lieu of other uses permitted <br />by this paragraph, as a non-commercial opinion sign. <br />6. The property owner on which campaign signs are located shall be responsible for the <br />removal of such signs within five days after the election. <br />1. A single unlighted "For Sale" or "For Rent' sign erected on the premises that is for sale or rent. <br />The sign is not to exceed six square feet in area in residential districts and 32 square feet in area <br />in business and industrial districts. <br />J. A single temporary unlighted identification sign may be installed upon a construction site in <br />any district denoting the name of the owner, architect, engineer, and contractor, provided that <br />such signs do not exceed district area requirements for ground signs. <br />K. Gasoline service stations are permitted doublefaced full fuel price signs not exceeding sixteen <br />square feet each for each type of fuel sold on the site. No more than one price sign for one type of <br />fuel is allowed per street side. <br />L. Seasonal holiday decorations are permitted so long as they contain no advertising. They must <br />be removed within ten days following the holiday. <br />M. Signs denoting the location of a utility for purposes of warning or maintenance, and a sign <br />denoting the location of a public phone. <br />N. Small signs used for protection of property such as "No Trespassing" or "Keep Off The Grass" <br />providing such signs are no larger than 1 1/2 square feet. <br />O. Canopy signs are permitted so long as they contain the name or logo of the establishment only. <br />Page 6 of 17 <br />
