RESOLUTION NO. <br />08-037 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />V making findings of fact and approval of an application for <br />Grant Cleanup funds for a portion of the Northwest Quadrant. <br />.S the City of New Brighton (hereinafter, "the City") has committed to the <br />nent of the Northwest Quadrant area through property acquisitions, <br />designation, and technical and financial planning, and <br />the City has incurred and expects to continue to incur costs for <br />al assessment and remediation, and <br />the State of Minnesota offers a grant program to assist local units of <br />in the paying for such costs, <br />IT RESOLVED that the City hereby approves the Contamination Cleanup grant <br />lication to be submitted to the Department of Employment and Economic <br />velopment (DEED) on May 1, 2008 (hereinafter, "the application"), by the City, <br />the "Northwest Quadrant — East of Old Highway 8" site. <br />IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City agrees to act at the legal sponsor for <br />project contained in the application to be submitted on May 1, 2008 and that the <br />y Manager is hereby authorized to apply to DEED for funding of this project on <br />[alf of the City. <br />IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City has the legal authority to apply for <br />racial assistance, and the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to <br />ore adequate project administration. <br />IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sources and amounts of the local match <br />itified in the application are committed to the project identified. <br />IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City has not violated any Federal, State or <br />l laws pertaining to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of <br />rest or other unlawful or corrupt practice. <br />IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon approval of its application by the state, <br />City may enter into an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above- <br />Crenced project, and the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws <br />regulation as stated in all contract agreements. <br />
