Public Improvement Hearing to Consider Project 08-1, Innsbruck North Area street <br />Reconstruction Report No. 08-103. Resolution No. 08-017. <br />Director ofPublic Works, Grant Wyffels gave. a bnefhistory related to the proposed project The <br />City received a petition in 2007 requesting the project occur in 2008, rather than waiting until the <br />scheduled time Of 2010. At an informational meeting in February 2008, a petition was received <br />requesting the exclusion of 32`hd Ave. from the project Civil Engineer Kerry Thome outlined the <br />project Televising of sewer lines indicated a couple areas requiring repairs. The project would begin <br />in May and completion would be in October 2008. Estimated project costs were reported as <br />$1,083,300; the assessable amount would be $187,000, estimated cesfs of approximately $1,300 per <br />benefiting property Mayor Larson asked Ms. Thome what the financial implications would be if 32nd <br />Ave. was not included in the project. Ms. Thome reported the overall cost would be less, but the cost <br />per unit would increase. Grant Wyf%ls reported it is the remirmandation of Staff to reconstruct 32nd <br />Ave. with this project. Councilmember Doffing questioned if there would be a better time to <br />reconstruct 32' Ave. Mr. Wyffels reported that the costs would likely ina-ease in the future. <br />Mayor Larson opened the Public Hearing at 6:53 pm. <br />Mr. Paul Rebelein-1346 32' Ave. NW reported the majority of residents on 32nd Ave. do not feel the <br />reconstruction is necessary. <br />Maurice Wolf -267014 St NW expressed his cone . with a group ofhomeowners having an option <br />to decline. <br />A resident on 12`" Ave. NW reported his discontent with the manner in which a boulevard tree was <br />removed. <br />Gerry Sande -1401 Brookshire Ct. questioned the use of 10 Street during construction. <br />Mr. Wyffels confirmed that 14th Street will remain open, and passable. <br />Motion by Councilmember Doffing, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to close the Public <br />Hearing at 7:08 pm. <br />4 Ayes —0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />ILII <br />III II'4 <br />•,II I r: rI <br />9.
