Consideration ofAppointments to Municipal Advisory Commissions. <br />City Manager Dean Lotter reported that Council has been discussing at length the process associated <br />with appointments to advisory commissions. The Council extended terms of expiring commissioners <br />from January 31 to March 31, 2008. Attendance records were reviewed and those commissioners <br />missing four or more meetings were removed from their positions. Additionally council determined <br />that commission shall have.. 7 members. Any commissions with more than 7 commissioners will <br />remain until the next tam ends. Counoilmember Doffing reported that council agrees on the <br />importance ofattendance at commission meetings, and absences need to be addressed as they occur. <br />Motion by Councilmenber Phillips, seconded by Councilmember Doffing to remove the four <br />Commission Members who have.. missed four or more meetings in 2007.
