February 26, 2008 <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates: <br />Dean Lotter <br />Mr. Lotter reported the annual Council/Staff reheat was held the prior weekend. Staff is wotidng on <br />' RFP's for development of tract 1 on the west side. Two more neighborhood meetings are scheduled <br />for March 12 and March 19. Staff will be discussing the steps involved to get the Council Packet on <br />the City's website. <br />Councilmember Dong <br />Councilmember Doffing was very pleased with the outcome of the retreat The Planning Commission <br />meeting items were all brought to the Council meeting <br />Councilmember Phillips <br />Councilmember Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported a Public Safety Commission meeting will be held February 27. <br />CERT training is scheduled. The City is hiring firefighters. The retirement of Faye Lhewianka was <br />announced A suspect in recent drive by shooting was arrested by Officer Slack. Officer Hamdorf <br />received bite wounds from a suspect. Councilmember Bauman reported the retreat was productive. <br />Council aember Burr <br />Councilmernber Burg reported Park, Recreation and Environmental Commission will meet in one <br />week, March 5, The retreat was described as the best in the five Councilmernber Burg has attended. <br />' Mavor Larson <br />Mayor Larson was pleased with the retreat. Along with the City Manager, Mayor Larsonhas spent a <br />lot oftime at the Capitol testifying at the legislature. A meeting with Dan Hooverman; superintendent <br />of Moundsview Schools discussing student achievement in the district model.
