April 8, 2008 Page 5 of 5 <br />Counellnrenlber Bn1'Q <br />•Councilmember Burg attelided the Economic Development Commission meeting, a good portion <br />of discussion was about the elimination of commission members. Councilmember Burg reported <br />she was not at the meeting and she was not in agreement with decreasing the size of commissions. <br />It was noted that while a procedure is in place; it was not followed. A portion of the response from <br />the City Attorney was read, where just reasons for removing commissioners were detailed. <br />Councilmember Burg reported she listened to the work session, and noted she felt this was very <br />unprofessionally handled. Gratitude was expressed to city volunteers. <br />Two memorial services were attended for former New Brighton Employees; Larry Hunt and Larry <br />VWII <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson reported Roseville City Councilmember Tom Kough passed away shortly after he <br />visited him. Regional Mayors meeting will me attended Monday April le and on April 17"' the <br />Metro Cities annual meeting will be attended. <br />Councilmember Bauman addressed issues related to the commission appointments, stating the <br />decisions made were not political, and offered to answer any additional questions.
