May 13, 2008 Page 5 4 6 <br />Number 2 and Number 4 be eliminated. <br />The addition of televising meetings. <br />5 Ayes —0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates: <br />Dean Lotter <br />Mr. Lotter reported four RFPs were received from developers interested in the Northwest Quadrant. <br />The suggestion of a presentation meeting on May 20p, with the possibility of council approval on May <br />27'h was agreed upon The Northwest Quadrant Financial Task Force will have its first meeting on <br />May 14'. <br />Councilmember DotBne-Public Safety Commission <br />Councilmember Doffing reported May 15 is National Police Memorial Day. Firefighters are meeting <br />in parks on the second Mondays monthly in June, July and August. Junes session will be in Sunny <br />square park July's event is at Totem Pole Paris, and the August event will be ay Hansen park. The next <br />PSC meeting is Wednesday, May 2e at 6"00 pm. The bike trail proposal was reviewed by the Public <br />Safety Commission, and unanimously approved National Night Out is scheduled for August 5s' this <br />year, and attendance was encouraged. <br />Councilmember Phillips-Plannina Commission <br />Councilmember Phillips reported the next Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday <br />• May 20�, a cell tower discussion is on the agenda <br />Councilmember Bauman -Park. Recreation & Environmental Commission <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the Family Service Center will have a grand opening for the Fitness <br />Center on May 17'`. 141,600 users have visited the FSC so far in 2008. Special thanks was extended to <br />the trails committee for their involvement o the Long Lake Road bike lane project. An event is <br />scheduled for June 5 with Bel Air elementary school students to highlight the "Safe mutes to Schools" <br />lrogran't <br />Councilmember Burg -Economic Development Commission <br />Councilmernber Burg reported no new items at the recent EDC meeting, the upcoming meeting <br />scheduled in June will be televised. The Volunteers in Public Safety event was attended. <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson attended the Northwest Youth and Family Services luncheon recently.
