• <br />• <br />• <br />Of Report Number 08-175 <br />NEW Agenda Section VI -4 <br />�MON Report Date June 17, 2008 <br />the city that works for you Council Meeting Date June 24, 2008 <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION - <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: CONSIDERATION OF PARTIAL PAYMENT 10 FOR PROJECT 07-3, <br />OLD HIGHWAY 8 NW RECONSTRUCTION <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD'S APPROVAL: <br />CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this <br />Comments attached <br />Recommendation: To approve contract Partial Payment 10 in the amount of $2,063.12 for Project 07- <br />3, Old Highway 8 NW Reconstruction to North Pine Aggregate, Inc. <br />Legislative History: Project 07-3 consists of the reconstruction of Old Highway 8 NW from I-694 to <br />the Long Lake Regional Park entrance. The City Council awarded a contract to North Pine Aggregate <br />on June 12, 2007. - <br />Financial Impact: Please see attached payment breakdown for details. <br />Explanation: The provisions of the contract with North Pine Aggregate, Inc. stipulate that the City <br />makes a partial payment to the contractor at least once each month at regular intervals on the basis of <br />the work performed during that preceding month. This partial payment shall not exceed 95 percent of <br />the value of the certified estimate. <br />Construction has been suspended for the winter and will resume in the spring when weather permits. <br />Costs and Funding: The construction portion of this project is being funded from a combination of <br />funding sources including a Mn/DOT grant, EPA grants, Municipal State Aid funds, Ramsey County <br />Cooperative Agreement funds, City Utility funds, and TIF Bond proceeds as outlined in the Feasibility <br />Report. <br />-4') � <br />Grant M. yffels, I <br />Director of Public <br />Attachments <br />
